I adore stationery. Pens, pencils, notebooks, the works. It was always the best part about the back to school period when I was a child. And I still get that same back to school stationary buzz, although it’s IJ I’m buying for most of the time now.
So when I was offered two gorgeous pencil cases from Great Gizmo’s Nici range, I jumped at the opportunity. IJ long ago decided she wanted a Moshi Monsters pencil case this term so I decided that this one could be mine. Because you are never too old for a new pencil case, right?
And just look at this one. It’s from the Jolly Sleepy range. It’s super soft and has my name written all over it.
Except all has not gone quite to plan as IJ has also fallen for it and has claimed it as her own. Nine year old’s are often reluctant to show things to their friends unless it’s something totally awesome, yet IJ proudly showed off
my her new pencil case in the playground this morning, which is the only endorsement it needs really.
Thankfully there is a second pencil case so I’m not left without one, although this is technically a stationery roll rather than a pencil case. It’s still gorgeous though.
Friends will probably grin to themselves when I take it out of my bag, but they will be laughing with me I’m sure. It’s got elastic loops to keep pens and pencils safe, so no more hunting around your bag for a lost pen. Not in my case anyway.
IJ seems to think she should have this one too. But she can’t because I’m keeping it, and I’ve given her the pencils instead.
I’m off now to buy myself a moleskin notebook to go with my new pencil case and I might buy myself a new bag.
Who says it’s only kids that can enjoy new term stationery? I’m in my element here.
