Quiet time

by RosieS on August 28, 2012

After a busy summer you would think there is a lot to be gained from spending some quiet time together at home.

It’s a time to relax and enjoy each other’s company without having to get anywhere in a hurry.

A time to watch videos, to play with the countless new toys that fill our house, to read and to rest.

Not so.

One nine year old doesn’t quite understand the benefits of quiet time.

In her eyes, yesterday we did nothing.

Journal entry

Thankfully she doesn’t write a blog. This was an exercise for school.

So it could be a whole lot worse.

Hilarious! Pretty sure my son (4) would say the same but is the first to complain when he wants quiet time and doesn’t want to be rushed about “doing” stuff! Kids eh? Bless her.

Ah, I love being busy but once in a while I would love to be able to write “I did nothing”! Maybe in about 18 years!
