My time.
And it’s Vimto in the glass.
No word of a lie.

It looks like a well earned start to Mummy time…
Yes, I completely agree!
Vimto!!??? NOW I’m impressed. Loving your checked work surface too. Carefully selected to match the Vimto or am I over-thinking this?!!!
No I think I was the one who was over-thinking this! It’s actually a chopping board. And trust me, if I even smell red wine I fall over. I’m much better off with Vimto!
Somehow I think a glass of wine (or vimto in a wineglass) is going to feature heavily today. Btw – I also sometimes sip a soft drink from a wine glass. I makes it last longer, seem more special, and makes me feel better for some reason.
Yes, I expect it will. It does feel more special if you drink a soft drink out of a wine glass doesn’t it. It’s either that or a plastic princess beaker and I feel this is a little more sophisticated!
Mines a cup of tea to wind down with, great photo.
Good choice. I’m more of a coffee drinker but I think hot chocolate would appeal more at that time of day. I’d be up all night if I had too much caffeine!
Vimto is good – cherry one?x
Oh I didn’t know there were different varieties. This one is mixed fruit.
Fab colours! A soft drink in a wine glass sounds like a very healthy indulgence. xx
Yes, it could be far worse!
Maybe I should try vimto rather than wine. Love the chopping board!
It’s not quite as exciting though.
Yay for 8pm me time!
Great picture
I live for 8pm!
Ohhh Vimto and a kindle sound like a good combination to me too.
I think if there were chocolates there too it would be just perfect!
Vimto? Well, as long as you enjoyed your time x.
It’s possibly an unusual choice! x
Ooh, how snazzy is your work top? Loving the Vimto too! x
Thank you. I was given the chopping board as a gift. It now appears in most food and drink photos!
Sounds perfect! I agree with the vimto, I do still drink wine but SO much less after being a mum. After 9 months abstainance I get wobbly after a glass
I’m exactly the same, Sarah. I can’t even look at alcohol now. I’d be under the table after a glass, or singing on it!
Lovely picture, I love the kindle in place too…I do like settling down on a evening after a busy day and B Lloyd is safely tucked up in bed. Most definitely Me Time! X
I used to end up sitting with my daughter waiting for her to go to sleep, but sitting at her bedside until 9pm, sometimes 10pm, drove me mad. So we set a rule that I would leave her at 8pm. She seemed relieved when I suggested this, as if she had been waiting for me to put some boundaries in. Not easy this parenting malarky is it?! x
That looks fantastic. x
Cheers Susan x
Nothing wrong with Vimto!
I’ve managed to get through a whole bottle in the last week
Seen a lot of glasses of wine today, but that’s definitely the first Vimto! Very jealous of all you mums who are having me-time at only 8pm
Oh hang in there Sarah. One day you’ll get some me-time at 8pm. It does happen in the end (although not always every night).
I couldn’t agree more. Except perhaps exchanging the vimto to wine!
Yes, wine would probably be a little more relaxing than Vimto!
Love that table design/cloth and this looks remarkably like my 8pm on a Friday night, although it wouldn’t be vimto (maybe this week it would… warm vimto to soothe away this cold).
Ooh, warm Vimto. Hadn’t thought of that. Suddenly 8pm has got a whole lot more exciting. I can tell you wished you lived here Nickie. We’re so rock ‘n’ roll in this house!
