Where I sulk slightly as I don’t have new boots

by RosieS on September 23, 2012

Girls winter boots

We recently made a trip to London armed with winter coats, thick socks and woolly jumpers (bear with me, there’s a point to all this). Our southern relatives thought this highly amusing as, of course, it turned out to be at least five degrees warmer there. They were less amused when they had to share the burden of carrying the coats around all day.

So the point of this snippet of information? Well, we’re northerners. Okay, Midlanders technically. And without doubt, the weather is colder here. Coats, jumpers and wooly socks are normal attire round these parts, particularly at this time of year. It’s our every day wardrobe.

This year we are preparing for winter early rather than waiting until we have three inches of snow outside before realising that buying boots might have been a good idea.

Okay, I lie. I’m never that organised but this year a pair of boots has been sent to us by MandMDirect.com, which makes my life a little easier. No trudging round the shoe shops with IJ. No arguments over whether a one-inch heel is advisable when you’re still in single figures.

Thankfully IJ loves these.

More importantly for me than the style and look of the boots is the fact that they fit her well, they are very well made, the quality of the stitching is excellent and they are likely to last and keep her feet protected until she grows out of them.

So bring on the snow.

Actually, no, I take that back. I can’t think of anything worse than being snowed in again.

Plus, I don’t have any new boots and I’m sulking slightly.

Have I mentioned that?

These boots are called Norvic Girls Gingerbread Boots Purple Suede. RRP £49.99, reduced to £24.99 on the MandMDirect.com website at the time of writing. We were kindly sent a complimentary pair.

Those boots are fabulous. I’d also like a pair!

They are lovely aren’t they. And just in time for the rain (you probably don’t have this dreadful weather in Israel!).

These are gorgeous. I love the m&m direct website, I get lots of shoes for my children on it. You will just have to get yourself some boots asap to rectify the sulking!

You’re right. I do need to get myself some boots! It’s not a website I’ve used before but I would in future. It seems so much cheaper than the high street prices I usually pay. Wish I’d known about it before.
